Why hire a pet sitter instead of kenneling when you travel? Pets are happier when they are secure in their familiar environments with their own smells, toys and uninterrupted routines, as well as avoiding unnecessary exposure to diseases carried by other pets. Keeping your pet at home when you travel is less traumatic for your pet and alleviates the burden of worry for you the owner. Hiring an experienced pet sitter provides added peace of mind that a caring person is watching over your baby and your home. Pet sitters provide more services than ever for you and your pet:
- Feeding the pets and changing their water bowls
- Providing exercise and play time (may include walking the dog)
- Cleaning litter boxes and cleaning up any other pet messes
- Administering pet medications, if needed
- Providing lots of TLC!
- Bring in mail or newspapers
- Alternate blinds and lights to give the home a “lived-in look” if the owners are away.

About Casey's Critter Care
Casey's Critter Care began with a dog named Quyana.
Quy was a sweet Staffordshire Terrier who was probably the least terrifying—and most terrified—pittie you'd ever meet. She loved people, loved being home, and absolutely did not love being kenneled. Travel meant either bringing Quy along or finding someone we trusted to care for her where she was happiest: at home.
That experience inspired Casey's Critter Care and a simple philosophy that still guides us today:
good pet care should fit the animal, not force the animal to fit the care.
Since 2018, Casey and Jonni have built Casey's Critter Care around that philosophy, providing personalized, dependable care for Four Corners pets and the people who love them. What began with our own experience trying to find the right care for Quy has grown through referrals, repeat customers, and relationships with families who trust us with their animals year after year.
We provide in-home care for pets whose people are traveling, working long hours, or simply need an extra hand. Dogs and cats may be our most frequent customers, but they're certainly not our only ones. We've cared for chickens, ducks, goats, and other small farm animals, too.
Our approach is intentionally personal. We offer private dog walks rather than group walks, don't use dog parks, and tailor visits to each animal's needs, temperament, routine, and comfort level. Some animals want a walk and a game of fetch. Others want dinner served precisely on schedule and would prefer that we respect their personal space, thank you very much. We get it.
Between us, we bring decades of experience caring for animals. Casey's background includes working farms in Nebraska and dog-mushing kennels in Fairbanks, Alaska. Jonni brings years of hands-on pet care, client service, and the day-to-day coordination that keeps Casey's Critter Care running—and has probably exchanged more pet photos with clients than either of us could count.
Beginning September 2026, we're expanding our availability and the services we offer, giving us even more opportunities to care for the animals in our community.
Through all of that growth, Quy remains at the heart of what we do.
